Disclaimer: These treatments affect the body’s natural gonadotropin signaling. Use is restricted to patients under strict medical supervision with ongoing hormonal monitoring. These are prescribed to address specific endocrine needs and require regular follow-up to evaluate effectiveness and safety.

HCG

Human Chorionic Gonadotropin: An LH-mimicking hormone used in TRT protocols to support testicular signaling, fertility parameters, and endocrine axis maintenance.

How It Feels

  • Maintained sense of hormonal “completeness” during testosterone therapy
  • Preservation of testicular fullness and reduced perception of atrophy over time
  • More stable emotional and libido-related hormonal consistency in structured TRT use
  • Improved overall sense of well-being when endocrine signaling is supported

Four Rules For Success

  • Must be used under licensed medical supervision within a TRT protocol
  • Requires routine hormonal monitoring including testosterone, estradiol, LH, and related markers
  • Dosing must be individualized and adjusted based on laboratory response
  • Should not be used without clear indication or endocrine oversight

The Science Behind HCG (Human Chorionic Gonadotropin)

HCG is a glycoprotein hormone that closely mimics luteinizing hormone (LH). It binds directly to LH receptors on Leydig cells in the testes, bypassing hypothalamic and pituitary signaling.

This stimulates intratesticular testosterone production and supports steroidogenesis pathways, including downstream neurosteroid synthesis. In TRT settings, HCG is used as an adjunct to help maintain endogenous testicular function that may be suppressed by exogenous testosterone administration.

Usage & Dosage

  • Administered via subcutaneous injection under clinical supervision
  • Typically used 2–3 times per week depending on protocol
  • Requires refrigeration after reconstitution from powder form
  • Dosing is individualized based on hormone panel response and treatment goals
  • Requires ongoing monitoring of testosterone, estradiol, LH, and fertility markers
